Upon joining the Bollocks Pub & Kitchen as Executive Chef at their first location in Pickering, ON in 2014, Chef Shriny quickly crafted his talent and passion for international cuisine. He advanced quickly, and in early 2016, as Corporate Executive Chef, Bollocks Pub Group, he personally oversaw the development of the kitchen and menu for their second location in Whitby, ON,  Now in 2019 he raises both his talents and mentoring to new heights here at the highly talked about 12welve Bistro & Tapwerks located in the Brock Street Brewing Company building in downtown Whitby, ON.

Chef Shriny Raj, born in France, is a self-spurred proficient with 19 years of experience in the culinary arts. His background includes practical experience in both fine dining and specialty banqueting operations, and the preparation of foods from around the world. With a team of 20, Chef Shriny leverages a veritable bounty of local & sustainable ingredients, plant-based foods, fresh seafood, pasta and the freshest of local / international meats in his culinary art.

Chef Shriny describes his culinary style as one without borders, always evolving and incorporating international influences. He believes great cuisine involves the combination of two simple ingredients: top quality products and flawless technique.
